During his peak, Michael Jordan was listed as one of the three most popular personalities in the world. The six-time champion became a superstar within a few years after he started his NBA career and usually left others dumbfounded when they encountered him. Shannon Sharpe, a three-time Super Bowl winner met Michael Jordan and his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy in 1993.

Sharpe mentioned his interaction with Air Jordan at the Super Bowl in Atlanta. Initially, Sharpe feared Jordan might find him a “weirdo” when he kept looking at him for an extended duration of time. In response to Sharpe’s attempt at introducing himself, however, Jordan was polite enough to state that he knew him and met his mother in the casino earlier.

 Sharpe stated as he entered the elevator he stated:

I saw Michael Jordan with his first wife… Juanita Vanoy was in the elevator already.

Sharpe claimed to have seen a radiant aura surrounding the legendary Chicago Bulls player.

Michael Jordan’s encounter with Shannon Sharpe proved remarkable, according to Shannon. Sharpe was very excited about meeting the greatest American athlete,  he was giddy with enthusiasm as he described the event to co-host Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. By this time, Sharpe had already faced Jordan, after he won his second subsequent championship title.

Shannon Sharpe’s unwavering belief: LeBron James deserves the G.O.A.T. Title

Certainly, Jordan is one of the best players ever in the NBA and basketball. However, Sharpe remains loyal to LeBron James at present in the G.O.A.T. debate. According to Shannon Sharpe, LeBron James deserves to be named the greatest-ever player in NBA history.

Sharpe feels James is the greatest player of all time. He once argued for LeBron James in contentious discussions with fellow analyst Skip Bayless at Fox’s Undisputed.

One of Sharpe’s major points of debate for James is the volume of criticism he has received ever since he joined the NBA. Just like the social media age, James was being scrutinized going back to his high school days and still carried on with his best work each time. At 38 years old, Lebron James holds the record for career points.
