Spanish Basketball player Juancho Hernangomez shares his experience working in the latest Hollywood basketball film ‘HUSTLE’ and interaction with NBA Megastar LeBron James. The spoken off film, streaming on Netflix called Hustle is all about a player as a basketball scout discovers a phenomenal street ball player while in Spain and sees the prospect as his opportunity to get back into the NBA.
While Adam Sandler has been a very frequent name in Hollywood, it was a new experience for star Juancho Hernangomez, who played Bo Cruz’s role in the film. While on Rich Eisen Show, the Spanish star shares his experience in the film and meeting the King of the game – LeBron James. His honest words certainly won many hearts and spread some laughs around the studio.
While meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers Megastar Juancho Hernangomez explained his interaction outside shoot and how he wanted to hide watching LBJ coming at him. Adam Sandler praised the impact of James on the film and made it Global due to his status.

LeBron James is certainly very impactful active athlete in the league and have been successful off court also.
Movie star Sandler is an avid NBA Lover supporting the Lakers at the Staples Center. Depicting the NBA dream in ‘Hustle‘, Sandler plays the role of an NBA scout. And the involvement of actual NBA players is what makes the movie feel authentic. As per Golden Globe award-winning actor, Sandler identifies the main reason his movie became possible was LeBron James.
Sandler on Dan Patrick’s show accepted the fact that Sandler spoke about the King and how his involvement was crucial to the film. Sandler explained: “LeBron and Mavericks and this kid Spencer who works with those guys, they would read drafts and make sure it feels authentic. And then also the NBA was at our fingertips because those guys were involved. They would get footage, other players, and just the LeBron name is going to make it feel like alright, this is going to be a legit movie.”
Trying his hands at acting, Juancho Hernangomez had a different experience though. He said, “We were playing against the Lakers. After the game LeBron came to me and I mean we were in the locker room. I saw him coming to me, and I was like where do I hide? But he came to me and said, thank you for the movie and you were amazing. And I was like oh sh*t, he know me.”
The hilarious and natural reaction of 26-years old Hooper drew many laughs. Member of Spanish Royalty, Juancho plays was drafted in 2016 by Denver Nuggets and now plays with Utah Jazz. ACB’s young player of the year winner plays a central role in the movie.
