The Philadelphia 76ers have made a statement in the NBA with their latest victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, and former NBA player Kendrick Perkins is among those who believe that they are a “legit title contender.” In a recent game, the 76ers rallied to snap the Bucks’ 16-game winning streak, thanks to an impressive performance from star players Joel Embiid and James Harden. Harden scored 38 points, and had nine rebounds and ten assists, while Embiid contributed 31 points, six rebounds, and ten assists.
Perkins, who played for the Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans in his career, praised the 76ers and their star players, saying that “the 76ers are legit. Make no mistake about it. … The 76ers are a legit title contender and people need to put more respect on their name.”
The 76ers currently sit in third place in the Eastern Conference, behind the aforementioned Bucks and Boston Celtics. However, their recent victory over the Bucks has shown that they have what it takes to compete with the best teams in the league.
Embiid and Harden have been key players for the 76ers this season, with Embiid averaging 33.0 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game, while Harden has averaged 22.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 10.6 assists per game. With the playoffs approaching, the 76ers will be looking to continue their winning form and make a deep run in the postseason. And with players like Embiid and Harden leading the way, they certainly have the potential to challenge for the NBA title.
Embiid and Harden make NBA history with unstoppable performances against Pacers

Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid and James Harden are emerging as the most dominant duo in the NBA. The two basketball stars achieved a historic feat that has never been seen before in the league by combining for 40 points and 20 assists against the Indiana Pacers. This isn’t the first time that Embiid and Harden have accomplished this feat. They did it before in a December victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. What sets them apart is that they have achieved this milestone twice, which no other duo in NBA history has accomplished.
Against the Pacers, Embiid and Harden were unstoppable, and even though the Pacers put up a strong team effort, they couldn’t stop the Sixers’ dynamic duo. When both players are in top form, it’s almost impossible to beat Philly. However, the Pacers’ star Tyrese Haliburton also had a historic game, making the match a bonkers back-and-forth game. Despite Haliburton’s heroics, the Sixers emerged victorious, thanks to the performances of Embiid and Harden.
The combination of Embiid’s power and finesse and Harden’s skillful ball handling and passing are proving to be too much for other teams to handle. They are making a strong case for being the best duo in the NBA. It remains to be seen if Embiid and Harden can maintain their level of play and continue their dominance throughout the season. But if they do, the Philadelphia 76ers will undoubtedly be a team to watch out for in the playoffs.
