During Inside the NBA on TNT, the hosts Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson, and Kenny Smith are always seen wearing suits and showing their fashion game. But one of these analysts caught a Hollywood star’s attention for inspiration.

Actor Timothee Chalamet is currently doing promotions for the new movie Dune: Part Two which he stars in. During the promotions, Chalamet along with his co-star, Austin Butler appeared in an interview with Elle. During the interview, the actors were asked about their style icons. Chalamet gave a shout-out to Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith.

Chalamet described Smith as versatile. He said Kenny’s fashion is bold and confident. He admires the fact that Smith rocks sneakers with his suits during his Inside the NBA episodes. He told Elle,

He’s also very bold and confident about when he just wants to rock sneakers with a suit. And I admire that.

Smith has previously mentioned while appearing on the ‘Scoop B Radio Overtime’ that his sister helps him with fashion. When they were young, she gave him advice regarding the kinds of colors Kenny should wear. After growing up Smith followed his own advice.

Timothee Chalamet often gets raised for his fashion game during promotions of his movies. The Hollywood star is very experimentative with his style. Based on his outfits, not many predicted Kenny Smith as his style icon.

Looking at the reaction of the fans, they have had a great time at the expense of Timothee Chalamet and Kenny Smith. On a serious note, Smith has recently faced backlash due to his misogynistic comments about Sabrina Ionescu during the NBA All-Star weekend. He was commentating during the three-point contest between Stephen Curry and Ionescu. He suggested that Ionescu should have shot the ball from the WNBA line instead of the NBA line. This did not sit well with fans.
