Tobias Harris was concerned for the safety of an elderly as one fan claimed to lock-up their grandmother and challenged the Sixers team to win and get past the Toronto Raptors in the first-round series to set her free.
Philadelphia 76ers closed the series against the Toronto Raptors in abrupt scenario. After dominating the first 3 games and leading 3-0 in the series, the 76ers found themselves at the wrong end of the results in the next two games. Partially fit Joel Embiid and the struggling rest of the team cast a dark shadow over the 76ers’ advancements. But strong performances from the stars forced all doubters to rethink before making any harsh comments on the team.
Tobias Harris tough was more concerned over a fan post, claiming “caging of grandmother till Philadelphia close out the Raptors”. Fans particularly tagged James Harden, Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, and Tyrese Maxey, handing them the responsibility for her release. After the win, Harris quickly took Twitter and asked for evidence of her safety.
Though many people made fun of the post from the fan, Harris looked concerned about the issue.

Raptors managed to grab impressive wins behind their defensive masterclass against the 76ers. But Philadelphia managed to force themselves strongly on the Raptors at Scotia Bank Arena scoring 132 points. Joel Embiid had 33 points and 10 rebounds, James Harden added 22 points and 15 assists in Philadelphia’s 132-97 win.
Tyrese Maxey scored 25 points, going 5 for 12 from three-point range, and Tobias Harris had 19 points and 11 rebounds, to help the 76ers finish off the Raptors with a blowout after losing the past two games.
For the Raptors, Chris Boucher had 25 points and 10 rebounds while star forward Pascal Siakam fouled out with 24 points. Influential guard Fred VanVleet missed his 2nd game due to a strained left hip flexor. Gary Trent Jr had 19 and Scottie Barnes 18. Toronto lost in the first round for the first time since being swept by Washington in 2015.
Philadelphia surged forward with strong 2nd half
While Embiid, Harden, and Maxey combined for a total talky of 80 points against the Raptors in game 6, the game was evenly matched till halftime. 76ers had a slender 62-61 lead at halftime, but half-time talk field new energy in the team. Harden, who was targeted for taking fewer shots in the last games, made sure that there will be no complaints against him.
Maxey and Embiid also gave him scoring support as Philadelphia outscored Raptors 70-36 in 2nd half. 76ers will face Miami next in Conference Semis, who shrugs off the Hawks in 5 games.
