Trae Young was trouble the NBA never saw coming it’s way. The player was severely criticised for his thin frame as the league is filled with dominant and powerful bodies. Either way there was no doubting his level of skill for someone being mentored by legends of the game since his childhood.

His first season in the league was not the most ideal ones. He was overshadowed by the highlights his draft peer Luka Doncic had put up ultimately winning the Rookie of the Year Award. However, the fifth overall pick averaged 19.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game. But his following seasons were a complete turn around.

Trae Young had a very late showing during the 2018-19 season as a scorer. But ever since his sophomore year, the tables have completely turned around for him and the Atlanta Hawks. The two time All-Star averaged 29.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 9.3 assists per game which shocked the masses.
Despite having his struggles, he became an insane three-point shooter surpassing Stephen Curry with the number of logo shots made in a season. Eventually, he led the Hawks to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021. He averaged 28.8 points per game but succumbed to Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

During his first playoff appearance, he had to face the New York Knicks who also happened to experience their first post-season run in a while. During Game 1 of the first round series, both teams were tied in the fourth with under 10 seconds left. Atlanta had the ball in their hands to inbound.
Trae Young took possession of the ball and hit a floater with 0.9 seconds left to take the lead 107-105. The player gestured to crowd to stay silent. The Knicks fanbase did not appreciate his actions and started trolling him with personal attacks. Several comments were made on his appearance as well.
