Trae Young was trouble the NBA never saw coming it’s way. The player was severely criticised for his thin frame as the league is filled with dominant and powerful bodies. Either way there was no doubting his level of skill for someone being mentored by legends of the game since his childhood.
His first season in the league was not the most ideal ones. He was overshadowed by the highlights his draft peer Luka Doncic had put up ultimately winning the Rookie of the Year Award. Trae Young had a very late showing during the 2018-19 season as a scorer. But ever since his sophomore year, the tables have completely turned around for him and the Atlanta Hawks. The two time All-Star averaged 29.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 9.3 assists per game which shocked the masses.
Despite having his struggles, he became an insane three-point shooter surpassing Stephen Curry with the number of logo shots made in a season. Eventually, he led the Hawks to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021. He averaged 28.8 points per game but succumbed to Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.
