“This must’ve been what it felt like watching Jordan up close,” Trae Young’s dad compares 38-years-old LeBron James to Michael Jordan after his MONSTROUS performance  against Hawks

“This must’ve been what it felt like watching Jordan up close,” Trae Young’s dad compares 38-years-old LeBron James to Michael Jordan after his MONSTROUS performance  against Hawks

LeBron James gave the Atlanta Hawks fans the best fireworks show on his 38th birthday. The King scored 47 points against Trae Young and the Hawks. Trae Young’s father Rayford Young was also in the stands, watching his son play against arguably the greatest player of all time. While Young’s father was proud of his son and rooting for him, he was in awe of the greatness Los Angeles Lakers star put on display that night.

While watching the game, Young Sr. started Tweeting in excitement, watching LeBron playing basketball like a chess master. In awe of James’ mastery, Trae’s father tweeted, “This must’ve been what it felt like watching Jordan up close. I’ve never seen anyone control a game like that.” The 4 x NBA champion started to move and set players like he was moving pieces on the board. It is true, unlike attackers like MJ and Kobe, LeBron hunts in the game.

Alluding to the Great Debate of the NBA, Young’s father said that he is definitely an MJ fan, but after watching LeBron live, he couldn’t argue against LBJ either. “My favorite is still MJ all time, but I can’t argue with anyone who says LeBron…..Man O Man,” Young Sr. wrote. Perhaps, Young’s Tweet speaks a lot about fans’ and analysts’ misunderstanding of LeBron. He doesn’t give jaw-dropping highlights like Jordan, but is still one of the best guys in the business.

Trae Young’s dad says Kobe Bryant is in his top 5 of all-time

Kobe Bryant

Rayford Young was Tweeting in a game that involved the Hawks and Lakers and expecting that Kobe’s name wouldn’t come up, is foolishness. Just like MJ, Kobe also played games with the attacker’s mentality. The Black Mamba played some of the best basketball the Lakers have ever seen. When a Twitter user asked Young if he had watched Kobe’s game. Young sr. wrote, “I never did but I could only imagine. I was to busy working with Trae and praying he made it to this level.” However, he openly admitted that Kobe was in his top 5 on the GOATs list. “Kobe is definitely in my top 5,” he added.

The young NBA players’ parents have been catching up with media attention in the last few years. Ja Morant’s dad made the news for being a doppelganger of musician Usher. He is also often seen attending his son’s games. Jayson Tatum’s mother is frequently seen in the stands cheering up her son. Now, Trae Young’s father interacting with fans on Twitter is wholesome. The sight of family love and the years of sacrifice finally paying off is good for them and for the players.
