The recent announcement of the 2024 NBA All-Star Game reserves has caused a bit of a stir amongst fanbases. Some notable players in the 2023 season haven’t been included in the event and this has led to fans questioning the selection. One of those notable names is Trae Young.
While Trae got snubbed, he had the perfect response scoring 32 points and 15 assists against the Phoenix Suns in a recent game. The Atlanta Hawks got their 129-120 win against an in-form Phoenix side. All eyes were upon Trae Young, who answered as to why he should have been on the All-Star team. However, it was his cold 3-point finish that amassed most of the attention.
In a crucial moment of the game, Trae Young managed to snatch the ball from the hands of Kevin Durant. He then went on to score a cold three-pointer. And that pretty much summed up his game, where a win was equally important. It was a message that Young had to send.
However, there is still a possibility that Trae could be included given the injury list, the 25-year-old guard might secure his third All-Star appearance. But the possibility seems slim ahead of the NBA All-Star game.
Fans react to Trae Young’s All-Star game snub
After the news of Trae Young not being included was out, Trae had the perfect response, is what fans assume, to the news. After dropping the cold three, fans couldn’t help but react to the Antlanta Hawk’s slick move.
The clip of the Point Guard went viral with many fans gathering to give their reaction to the move against Kevin Durant.
The reactions have made it quite clear that the fans are utterly disappointed with Young’s snub from the upcoming NBA All-Star game. They firmly believe that he should have been included given the kind of caliber and the performances he has been putting in.
However, despite the All-Star snub, Trae Young yet again proved himself worthy of the spotlight. And whether it was a correct or wrong call from the NBA, the fans of the sport are certainly going to miss Young’s magic on the court.
