Tristan Thompson has made his way back into the NBA headlines. And, fortunately, the reason this time isn’t any cheating claims or allegations or a woman. Instead, it’s a fact about him which has sent the Lakers Nation in disbelief. Tristan Thompson is an NBA champion and has more than a decade of experience. Since he is an 11-year vet. After being out of the league for a while, the Los Angeles Lakers signed him on April 9, 2003.
But lately, Tristan Thompson hasn’t been of any good use to the Los Angeles-based team. And, so far he has just been a voice on the bench and maybe the locker room. Surely, his experience is helping the young core of the Lakers. As he can be a good mentor with the plate full of experience he has. So far he has suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers only two times. And, those two games have been in the playoffs against the Golden State Warriors.
During both those games, he took the court during the garbage time. The fans though now are shocked as a viral social media stat revealed the Los Angeles Lakers have only 3 players above 30 years of age. The main purpose of the now-viral stat was to point out how Los Angeles Lakers aren’t an old team. And, the three players it showcased were Anthony Davis: 30 years old, LeBron James: 38 years old, and shocking the basketball world the third player was Tristan Thompson: 32 years old.
The Lakers Nation though is happy with only 3 guys above 30 years of age on the roster. And, from those three, it’s just LeBron James who is actually old but none of that matters to him. As Anthony Davis turned 30 just some months ago and they signed Tristan Thompson in April and he doesn’t even play for the team as a go-to-option. But the fans were also left in disbelief by knowing Tristan Thompson’s age. As it had mixed reactions and many still can’t claim it to be true.

Many fans thought Tristan Thompson was much older than his actual age. And, it’s understandable as for them he’s already in his Udonis Haslem stage as a fan said. Tristan Thompson has a real chance to run the clock back. As he’s just 32 and if he decides to lock in and put the work in with some major improvements made.
He surely can land himself a deal with any of the 30 NBA teams next season and can be around as a vet who can even lead the second unit when required. So it all depends on the work Tristan Thompson is willing to put in this summer or else he’ll just end up losing another good opportunity.
