Utah Jazz player Talen Horton-Tucker showed his class while playing against the Los Angeles Clippers. He looked in good shape and fine form while on the court. However, Twitterati questioned his gameplay while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers last year as he scored a classic three-pointer in a one-on-one clash with Clippers’ Marcus Morris who was handed out a map by the former Laker. As Talen Horton-Tucker’s handle had him lost.
The Clippers were up against a formidable Utah Jazz in the ongoing season. It was an equally poised game, and any side could have ensured themselves a win. However, the Jazz edged over the Clippers 110-102. In the 2nd quarter, when the scores were leveled, Jazz’s latest recruit Talen Horton-Tucker scored an awestruck three-pointer and got the lead for the Jazz. Clippers’ Marcus Morris defended him.
Talen collected the ball outside the ‘D’ line and looked to go in for the offense. However, Marcus was standing in his way. He might have thought that Talen would shoot from inside. But Talen made an intelligent move and clowned him, making him turn 360 and came out to score a three-pointer successfully. Fans reacted as soon as this reel of Talen scoring went viral. Talen Horton-Tucker will look to continue a similar kind of performance for the Utah Jazz
The 21-year-old star guard Talen had a rough start to his season while playing for his new team, the Utah Jazz. However, his strong performance against the Houston Rockets might have staged a substantial return for him. In 28 minutes and 12 seconds of action, he scored 14 points on 5-for-11 shooting, grabbed seven rebounds, got two steals, and had four assists against zero turnovers.
The Jazz went on to win that game 109-101. Last year Talen played for the Los Angeles Lakers but could hardly replicate any good performance for them. Hence, he got traded to Utah. He got some court time there, as many other players missed out for various reasons. He is a very talented player and can become one of the best if he keeps playing very well on the court.
But against the Clippers, he was on the court for 15 mins, where he managed only 5 points and two rebounds. The more game time he gets, he will develop into a much more robust and intellectual player and can become a vital cog in Utah’s machine in the upcoming years.
