Kevin Durant is one of a kind – a unicorn on the hardwood that can get a basket at any given time. However, the 7-footer is also notoriously known for his other passion, Twitter.

The Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant is known to have a little bit of a Twitter finger, with the star constantly trending in the Bird app for his engagement with NBA fans. It’s no coincidence that Durant racked up an insane 20.8 million followers on Elon Musk’s Twitter. The 2014 MVP hasn’t looked back since he joined the app back in 2009 and has been one of the most interactive athletes on the platform.

Durant’s latest dissension involves two tweets, where in the first one he tweeted out that he is joining the new Meta’s app, Threads and challenged fans, saying, “On threads with the burner. Come find me.” This tweet set off a chain reaction of fans ridiculing Durant, an instance uncommon in his case. KD responded to the Tweet by saying, “I lack maturity.”

On the latest one, Durant tweeted about the Damian Lillard situation in Portland, saying that the fans will start embracing the new rookie Scoot Henderson once Lillard leaves the organization. Durant seemed to have touched on a really sensitive topic, as Lillard has been playing for Rip City for 11 years and the fans did not take KD’s comments lightly.

The fans on Twitter were tearing up Durant on the app, but the Suns Forward is also not backing down, as he is exchanging the same level of heat that he received back with the fans. What really sets off fans is how Durant worded the situation, “Portland fans can’t wait to watch scoots career. I don’t see what the big deal is.”

In response to this, an angry fan even wrote,“fans love the game, but when ppl like you f**k their team over, it leaves a bad taste in their mouths and makes them hate the teamyou have no concept of what fuels a fanbase and you never will.” You can check out the exchange between KD and the fans below:

Durant is still on the bad side of NBA fans following his departure from OKC back in 2016, and the Durantula was reaffirmed as the “villain of the NBA” title when the Suns traded for Bradley Beal to form a super-team.
