It seemed like Kyrie Irving has once again put the nail in the coffin for Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics as the Nets looked destined to win Game 1. The action being held at TD Garden, Irving drilled a three-pointer to issue his team’s lead but a timely layup from Jaylen Brown made sure that the home team in only 1-point behind entering the final possession.
However, with the Nets having to run the play on the backs of Kyrie Irving, he was immediately double-teamed by the Celtics’ defenders. As a result of which he indecisively passed the ball to Kevin Durant, who had the shot-clock running against him. Eventually, the latter’s half-hearted shot would not go in and the Celtics came with an opportunity to win the game with more than 12 seconds in hand.
