This time, it was the New York Knicks that took a beating. The Christmas Day Games kicked off with a match between the Sixers and Knicks. Embiid showed no mercy and ruined the season spirits of Madison Square Garden. Philly managed to take their eighth straight victory as well extending their winning streak.

Joel Embiid on one hand was on fire. He erupted and scored 35 points and 8 rebounds shooting 12-22 from the field. It seemed like another wall in the park for the Cameroonian giant. He has been averaging 33.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game this season as he could be making another run for the scoring title.

During the game, Joel Embiid got into a 1v1 matchup against Knicks center Mitchell Robinson. It was an easy drive to the basket for Embiid while the Knicks defenders tried their best to keep the Sixers away from scoring. Embiid jammed the ball hard and had fans praising his skills. Joel Embiid has been balling out lately. Nobody expected the center to blow up this much especially due to his injury prone self during the initial days. Even though he does injure himself every now and then, his on court productivity reaches historic numbers everytime he plays. Now as the Sixers win their eighth straight game, the Eastern Conference must stay alarmed about them this season.

James Harden has also been a massive help playing alongside Embiid. The Beard has transitioned well into being a secondary scorer and lead facilitator of the ball. Averaging 21.4 points and 10.9 assists per game, he is exactly where the Sixers need him to be. The team ranks fifth in the East with 20 wins and 12 losses.
