Pete Davidson is back in the NBA headlines, and the reason behind it isn’t quite pleasing but very understandable. A video of Pete Davidson pushing back an overzealous older New York Knicks fan is making rounds all over the internet. The unwanted moment happened when the comedian exited the arena and took selfies with the fans.
The New York Knicks hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden for Game 4 of Playoffs Round 1. Pete Davidson was one of the many celebrities who came down to show off their support for the Knicks, who are displaying and playing some incredible ball against the young Cleveland Cavaliers team.
Pete Davidson surely enjoyed his time at Madison Square Garden as he was cheering for his team on the courtside while sitting next to Jon Stewart. But he wasn’t lucky to end it simply and well. As of right now, he’s being discussed on Twitter for pushing an older fan who got a little too friendly with him.
The New York Knicks didn’t disappoint Pete Davidson and now are only one win away from advancing to the semi-finals. The Knicks, especially their backcourt of Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, was getting the job done against the Cavs. They had a fabulous first half. But the Cavaliers clapped back on them as Darius Garland took charge.
The Knicks lost the lead several times but managed to get it done in the fourth quarter, as the Cavs had no good answer against their defensive end. And the offensive end was perfectly managed by Jalen Brunson, who dropped 29 points, six assists, and six rebounds. He was backed by RJ Barrett (26 points) and Josh Hart (19 points).

Fans react to Pete Davidson pushing an old fan
On his way out of the arena, while clicking selfies, Pete Davidson encountered an older fan who got too close to him. It all started when a man in a pink shirt and blue cap tried getting into his zone. As he didn’t just have his arm around Pete Davidson’s neck but also went on to almost rest his neck on his shoulder or say something to him near his ears. After this evasion of personal space, Davidson quickly snapped and pushed back the older man telling him to back off.
The situation, fortunately, didn’t escalate any further, and Pete Davidson continued taking photos with the other fans. But like always the internet is winning with its mixed reaction on Twitter for the moment. Fans are hilariously claiming the older fan to be a “Trump impersonator” and sending out their opinions on the moment. You can find some of the many reactions on Twitter here below:
