James Harden and Tyrese Maxey

21-year-old Tyrese Maxey has been an absolute sensation for the Philadelphia 76ers since the beginning of the 2021-22 season. Having led the scoring charts often enough, to making game winning defensive plays, Maxey has been a great replacement for Ben Simmons, who neglected the team. However, during the course of the entire season, this young lad was often found to be guided by the veterans in the team.

On the most recent occasion, Tyrese Maxey was willing to have none of James Harden as the former MVP’s below-par performance in Game 6 vs Miami Heat, which ensured the home team to be once again eliminated from the semi-final stage in the playoffs. To make matters worse Maxey lost his cool on the team bench after having a brief conversation with the Beard.

While James Harden has majorly struggled for two consecutive seasons to find his best form on-court, his dependability has surely taken a major hit. Often the Beard was spotted explaining plays to young Maxey. This time the latter was not going to have any of it as their entire season was on the line.

In Game 6, the Miami Heat brutally exploited the home team in front of their home fans. As a result of which the frustration could be clearly seen among each and every Sixer. In the fourth quarter, when the Heat went onto re-claim a 17-point lead, Harden went onto explain something to Tyrese Maxey, who could be evidently spotted getting up and throwing the seat cushion on the floor, being massively frustrated with the former MVP.

The Heat won 99-90 to eliminate Sixers in comfortable fashion. Talking about the individual performances of the Philadelphia 76ers players, they were led by Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid, both of whom scored 20 points each. While Harden couldn’t showcase his true potential, with only 11 points registered against his name.

Heat would now be facing the winner of Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks semi-final series? Will Jimmy Butler be able to lead his team once again, into the NBA Finals? Remains to be seen.
