James Harden and Tyrese Maxey have made it to the headlines as once again the fans catch them showing off their chemistry issues on the bench. The Philadelphia 76ers were in a do-or-die situation entering Game 6 and unfortunately, they didn’t live up to the expectations everyone had around them as the Miami Heat eliminated them in Game 6. Joel Embiid missed the first two games of the series (due to a right orbital facial fracture) and Tyrese Maxey along with James Harden wasn’t able to lead the Sixers to a win. So the Miami Heat with the road being easy got a 0-2 lead and had a chance to sweep the Sixers out. But with the return of the Sixers’ big guy, the team was able to bounce back and tie the series at 2-2. But the winning stretch didn’t continue further and now the series closes at 4-2 with the Miami Heat advancing to the eastern conference finals.

The Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Miami Heat at Wells Fargo Center for Game 6 of the series. It was an important game for both the teams and was closely contested and head to head until the second half where the Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat took control over the game and dominated the Sixers. James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid tried their best but they weren’t able to cut the lead and establish them in the game so the Miami Heat officially called a wrap on them. The final box score stands at 90-99 and the Sixers will now look to improve their roster and get better in the off-season.

In the game, Tyrese Maxey dropped 20 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds while backing up Joel Embiid (20 points, 2 assists, and 12 rebounds). James Harden though was limited to 11 points, 9 assists, and 4 rebounds and wasn’t even able to score in the second half of the game. In the fourth quarter with ten minutes and forty-three seconds remaining for the game to end. During a timeout, James Harden was seen calling out Tyrese Maxey as he discussed a play or some with him but that didn’t age well as Tyrese Maxey got up and was furious watching his team be down bad and threw away the seat cushion in anger. The Sixers got themselves a run from there on but were never able to finish it.
