“They officially have a Big 3” Tyrese Maxey’s explosive 38-point performance for Sixers gets an honest reaction from Kendrick Perkins
Kendrick Perkins, Tyrese Maxey, James Harden and Joel Embiid
Kendrick Perkins is a former NBA player who now is a host at ESPN’s First Take and also a player analyst for the same company. This time, Kendrick Perkins is viral in the headlines, not for a hot take or criticism against a player but for some appreciation for Philadelphia 76ers’ Tyrese Maxey. The Philadelphia 76ers under the leadership of Joel Embiid has made it to the postseason and now are competing against the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the playoffs. The series is pretty unexpected as both the sides have the potential to turn any game around and have themselves on the winning side.
The Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Toronto Raptors at Well Fargo Center for Game 1. The Sixers dominated throughout the game with some tough and rough times in the third quarter. But with Tyrese Maxey firing up for 38 points, 2 assists, and 4 rebounds they were able to get the dub. The final box score stands at 131-111 favoring the James Harden and Joel Embiid-led Philadelphia 76ers. The Toronto Raptors were down bad on both the ends especially the defensive one since they were speechless and limited speciating Tyrese Maxey hand them a 20-point blowout loss.
Tyrese Maxey gets the most credit for the win he was supposed to back the star duo up during the playoffs. But in reality, it is Joel Embiid (19 points, 4 assists, and 15 rebounds) and James Harden (22 points, 14 assists, and 5 rebounds) backing him up strong. Kendrick Perkins recognized the young gun and gave him his flowers as he inducted him into the Big Three of Philadelphia 76ers.

Kendrick Perkins on Tyrese Maxey as a part of Philadelphia 76ers’ Big 3
Kendrick Perkins appreciating and praising Tyrese Maxey in a Tweet via his personal Twitter handle quoted: “The 76ers officially have a Big 3!!! Tyrese Maxey is ELITE and I see why Philly didn’t want to include him in any trade! Carry the hell on…” He is very right with the tweet as with the performance in the game one he really is a part of the Big 3 and capable to run the offensive end as the primary option so the team can get the most they can on every end.
Kendrick Perkins just tweeted out a fact as it is very true. Tyrese Maxey is the piece the All-Star duo of Joel Embiid and James Harden always needed and there they are getting it all done. With the franchise giving away Ben Simmons, young core, and future first-round picks for James Harden, and not letting Tyrese Maxey be a part of it makes the decision very clear now. The Sixers have an edge in the series and a great chance to advance ahead if the rally continues.
