“Be buffed and also his hairline…” STUNNED by 45-year-old Usher’s SuperBowl halftime show, NBA legend dreams of singer’s physique

The whole world watched as the NFL‘s Super Bowl LVIII took place today in Las Vegas. One of the people watching was former San Antonio Spurs superstar Manu Ginobili. During the Half-Time show, while enjoying Usher‘s performances, he took note of how the 45-year-old Grammy Award winner looked. Ginobili took to his social media account on Twitter to mention something specific about Usher that inspired him.

Ginobili was like several other people who were watching the Super Bowl Half-Time show. But, he decided to post his impressions of what he took away from the performance on his official Twitter account. Ginobili said this;

In a few years when I turn 45 I would love to be buffed like Usher...

Adding a second thought 7 minutes later saying;

Also his hairline...

Ginobili obviously was trolling himself by talking about Usher’s well-maintained physique as well as his hair. Manu Ginobili once used to have a lot of hair. At least in his earlier days as a budding Spurs superstar. Later on, he started to sport a trimmed hairstyle. Now, he has lost most of it. This is why he trolled himself by claiming that he would like Usher’s hair. At 45, Usher has a decent amount of hair on his head.

Ginobili was not the most physically ripped basketball player during his playing days. He always had just enough to be one of the best off-the-bench superstars to play the game. He would instead use his deft touch and court vision to make plays. Maybe Usher has inspired Ginobili to try and build his physique.

Manu Ginobili and a career full of unselfish excellence

Manu Ginobili was selected with the 57th pick by the San Antonio Spurs. He was brought in for his ability to shoot from any position as well as the ability to drive to the basket. One of his biggest weapons was his left hand. Most opposing defenders had a hard time stopping the southpaw. Add to that his court vision and high IQ, which were instrumental in the dynastical legacy of the 2000s and 2010s Spurs teams.

He won four championships with the Spurs. But, he came off the bench for most of the games, except for two years. His performances from the bench helped the Spurs scheme different gameplans when the starters needed rest. In a league where most superstars want to start every game, Ginobili quietly made his mark off the bench.

So, it was not surprising for Manu Ginobili to troll himself while commenting on Usher. After all, who is better than the player who built his legendary career off of not wanting to be the superstar?
