Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest players of all-time had an impact on the world bigger than anyone could possibly imagine. Several youngsters look up his work and insane drive that skyrocketed him to the top. His legacy will be carried on for ages and the NBA certainly would never let the man’s name fade away.
His untimely demise in 2020 left the world in utter shock and along with him, eight others were killed in a horrible helicopter crash. Gianna, his daughter also was a victim that unfaithful morning. Many still mourn the loss of the Los Angeles Lakers legend including his family and wife, Vanessa Bryant.
Vanessa Bryant in constant legal battle regarding his husband’s legacy
Kobe Bryant was definitely one of a kid. His wife does not think any less of him either. Ever since his tragic passing, Vanessa has been in constant battle with his endorsers and officials who took care of the investigation of his death. It clearly has not been easy for the widow but it looks like she is determined to bring justice to her late husband.
Nike almost cut ties with her after they designed a shoe for Gianna without her permission. She claimed that the company had not sent ideas prior to its release with she felt was completely unfair. Both parties initially cut ties as they could not come to an agreement but eventually decided to continue with sales giving all proceeds to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.

Recently, NBA reporter Shams Charania announced that All-Star DeMar DeRozan had signed a new deal with Nike. The tweet said, “Fresh off making All-NBA second team, Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan is signing a new four-year deal with Nike that keeps him as the featured face of Kobe Bryant’s iconic line, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.”
Vanessa did not like how Charania stated that the Chicago Bulls player is the “feature face” of Kobe’s iconic sneaker line. She replied saying,“False. He is not the face of the Kobe line. No one is.” Vanessa urged that the announcement was not done in the right manner. It may not have directly been an attack to DeRozan but it is most likely her take on what the reporter had said.
