The Golden State Warriors gave quite a fight in their win against the Charlotte Hornets. However, one must emphasize the word “fight.” The word “fight” has often happened for them this season. Another example happened last night yet again. With just 12 seconds left and the game wrapped up in Warrior’s favor, they did not need to shoot the basketball. But Lester Quinones had other plans, leading to consequences involving Grant Williams.
Upon receiving the ball from Brandin Podziemski, Quinones went for a layup to score two points. It was deemed unnecessary in the sportsmanship of basketball. Hornets star Miles Bridges immediately lunged for a late block. Soon enough, Grant Williams got involved, and a brawl broke out similar to Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic. Bridges, Williams, and Quinones almost clashed, resulting in both teams separating the pair.
The 95-84 scoreline was enough to grab the headlines. It extended the Warriors’ two-game win streak, but the confrontation caught all attention. The camera and mic even caught Lester saying a B-word at Miles, resulting in both players getting ejected.
Draymond Green taunted Grant Williams after the game. And with the clip going viral, fans were quick to give their reactions to the whole situation. While some fans celebrated the win, some have preferred to give their thoughts on the brawl.
Fans react to the wild brawl between Lester Quinones and Grant Williams
Fans reacted quickly to the brawl that broke out at the end of the game rather than the win. The clip has surfaced all over the internet. While the win may have been the headline for the night, Quinones and Williams’ drama has caught all attention.
The clip received a lot of thought from the fans as it continues to garnish more and more interactions.
It was yet another ejection for the Golden State Warriors, and only time will tell as to the right approach to stop their players getting hot-headed. But for now, it’s all about the win they care about.
