“Fu*k No! Nobody is coming to Memphis for Christmas” Warriors star Draymond Green savagely disses Ja Morant, Grizzlies

Draymond Green took a fairly nasty blow at the Memphis Grizzlies over their Christmas challenge because he still couldn’t get over Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies’ trash talking exploits despite the fact that they lost to the Golden State Warriors in the playoffs. The Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant, according to Green, need to face reality next season. Several Grizzlies players, notably Morant, who engaged in a Twitter battle with Draymond last week, have been fairly outspoken on social media after the team’s elimination from the playoffs.

Green talked about how “oblivious” the Grizzlies are on the podcast crossover with JJ Redick. To illustrate his point, he mentioned how he had to explain to Morant that the Warriors do not travel during the mentioned holiday period after he had challenged them to visit Memphis and take them on Christmas.

Memphis had home-court advantage in both the Western Conference semifinals series against the Warriors and the first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves after ending the 2021–22 season with the second-best record in the NBA (56-26). However, both series were lost in six games. Draymond thinks the Grizzlies and Ja Morant are in for a wake up call next season now that they’ve arrived, made a name for themselves as one of the greatest young teams in the league.

The Warriors, led by Green, are the champs, so they unquestionably have the right to talk. The Grizzlies must act in accordance with their words the next time they face the Dubs. A prime-time game between the two teams on one of the biggest days of the season would undoubtedly be entertaining given how thrilling the series between the Warriors and Grizzlies was.

The Warriors veteran continued to trash talk the Grizzlies, claiming with confidence that they will destroy them on Christmas when Morant put up a tweet about Warriors playing the Grizzlies at Memphis, if the NBA gave them that schedule. He said: “F–k no, nobody’s coming to Memphis for Christmas, number one,” Green also stated that: “shout out to LJ, Bron changed that rule years ago where you win the championship you play at home, so maybe we’ll see them kids in the bay for Christmas Day”.

Green’s most recent ranting against the Grizzlies should further increase a developing rivalry between the NBA’s newest dynasty and a young, high-potential squad. Given all that has been stated so far, Adam Silver and the NBA would be making a huge mistake if they can’t announce Golden State vs. Memphis for Christmas.
