Trayce Jackson-Davis humiliates Victor Wembanyama with a game-sealing poster dunk
Victor Wembanyama is 7’4″ and boasts an enormous 8-foot wingspan. Normally, that leads to a lot of balls being swatted away by the San Antonio Spurs rookie phenom. But tonight, the tables were turned on the French superstar, when the Golden State Warriors rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis humiliated him with a poster dunk.
The short-handed Golden State Warriors were leading with 1:15 left in regulation. Jackson-Davis surveyed the court and backed down Wembanyama. When Wembanyama reached in to try and knock the ball out, Jackson-Davis drove into the space created on the left-hand side. He continued driving to the basket and launched for a huge poster dunk on Wembanyama.
This play brought the entire arena on its feet. Jackson-Davis, a natural left-hander took the opportunity created by Wembanyama’s attempt for the steal.
The play left fans stunned by Jackson-Davis’ audacity to go up against the league’s best shot blocker. His teammates chest bumped him for this show of courage. Generally, the league’s best big men try that move on Wembanyama. But for a second-round pick who is half a foot shorter to try that move was unprecedented. The poster dunk was the highlight of the perfect payback game after losing to the Spurs 2 days ago.
The play seemingly put the game out of reach for the Spurs. The Warriors were playing without Stephen Curry. Draymond Green also fouled out with 2:43 minutes left in the game. The youngsters led by Jackson-Davis played a solid defensive game to win against the Spurs 112-102.

For Victor Wembanyama, his NBA career has just started. Most of the time, fans are getting accustomed to the elite skillset he is putting up on display. But one skill has been on display throughout the season, his blocking. Leading the league with 3.4 blocks per game meant most opponents preferred not going up against him.
But not Jackson-Davis. He went for the dunk, knowing that there is a chance Wembanyama blocks it. But the end result was definitely worth it. Fans were still in shock when they voiced their opinions on the audacious poster dunk. Check out some of their reactions below;
