LeBron James scored just 21 points with just three in the fourth quarter in the Los Angeles Lakers win over the Memphis Grizzlies last night. NBA Analysts were shocked that the Lakers managed to win by 16 points despite the lack of offensive impact from LeBron James. Rui Hachimura topped the scoring for the Lakers with 29 points in their 128-112 win.

LeBron took one shot in this fourth quarter and had zero assists… This is just remarkable that they could get away with a road win like this,” said ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. Auston Reaves exploded for 14 fourth-quarter points including nine-straight points towards the end of the game to seal their road win. “It was pretty forgettable,” said Skip Bayless regarding James’ performance on Undisputed.

He missed his first five threes and then got a little hot. But he was actually riding the coat-tails of Hachimura,” added Skip Bayless. Rui Hachimura scored nine of his 29 points in the fourth quarter in a dominant display in his first playoff game as a Laker. James and Anthony Davis fed Reaves and Hachimura throughout the fourth quarter as the duo combined for 23 fourth-quarter points.

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most successful teams in NBA history and last night they broke a long-standing franchise record from the Showtime Lakers era. Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Anthony Davis and Lebron James all scored over 20 points last night becoming the first quarter to do it for LA since 1988. The Lakers ended up winning the NBA title in 1988.

Anthony Davis started the scoring for LA with 8 points in the first quarter and Reaves closed it out for LA with 14 in the fourth. Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves went a combined 8/11 from three-point range in a clinical shooting display at the FedEx forum last night. LeBron James scored 8 points in the third quarter to give the Lakers a lead entering the fourth after trailing at halftime.

The Lakers have stolen home-court advantage from the Memphis Grizzlies and have become the only two play-in teams to win their first playoff game this season along with the Miami Heat. NBA Analysts are impressed at the Lakers’ performance but skeptical at the prospect of them getting similar support from the bench throughout the series.
