Draymond Green has been in the news for time immemorial, for all the wrong reasons though. Recently too, he has been extremely vocal about the Jordan Poole incident that happened last season during practice where Green punched Poole. Due to all of this, an old video from 2019 which shows Green telling Poole to fight him has resurfaced which has sparked debates.
There has been a lot of back and forth, not just from both the players ever since the incident but from their friends and family as well. It all started when recently, Poole took a subtle dig at the Warriors and how his “role fluctuated, just a lot, over the course of my [his] time,” the guard said, taking a subtle dig at the Warriors. This ignited the Jordan vs Warriors & Green saga.
“I don’t just hit people. Dialogue happens over time and you usually ain’t triggered by something that fast… We know stuff you don’t say amongst men. We know things that you have to stand on,” Green said. This comment was what took the saga to the next level and this is where everyone else other than Green and Poole also got involved in the so-called beef. Many have also mocked him about how he is hot-headed all the time.
What happened between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole after this and what does the future hold?
While Green’s explanation seemed very weird to a lot of fans and they rightfully bashed him up on Twitter. A lot of people did not buy his explanation and he was attacked immensely on Twitter for the same. As it continued, both Jordan’s father Anthony Poole, and Jordan’s friend, Ralen Brown have also broken his silence. That too did not go well as heated arguments came from both sides.
His father alleged Draymond Green of avoiding him and not talking to him about the incident, not apologizing for the same. While Green replied to him too, he also threatened his father to stop using such words and said “Stop using those words, they usually don’t go over well amongst men.” The friend, Ralen Brown talked about how Green lacked maturity over his Instagram story and how Green “failed to be a leader” as he took a dig at his“little homie.”
The last piece of the saga happened just recently when Jordan Poole took to Instagram and shared a song on the story, probably dissing Green which read “Talk of the Topic” and “Find a Hobby” hinting at how Green is fixated too much on Poole. As the two part ways from their teams, Poole has been sent to the Wizards, in replacement of Chris Paul, another player which Green has openly talked negatively about. It will surely be interesting to see whether this is the beginning of another beef or just some friendly banter.
