Jordan Poole and Draymond Green are back in the NBA headlines. And fortunately, the reason this time isn’t a knockout punch. However, there were tremors of some tension again as Poole was seen completely ignoring Green during the Game 6 loss of Golden State Warriors against the Sacramento Kings. Even Stephen Curry was involved in the exchange.
Jordan Poole struggled during Game 6 between the Kings and the Warriors at Chase Centre, as he was unable to ball out. In fact, he has struggled throughout the series and has not been able to be the guy the organization expects him to be. He’s had his moments in the series, and Draymond Green has even given up his starting place for him. However, nothing has helped Jordan Poole break through the rut and ball out.
The Sacramento Kings had the Warriors clueless in the game as they fired on all cylinders offensively. Their efforts soon brought the game under their control, and the Dubs struggled and seemed unfocused. This eventually got the Kings a win as they forced Game 7 at 118-99. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry got 22 points and 29 points, respectively. Their performance wasn’t enough against the 28 points of Malik Monk and 26 of De’Aaron Fox.
The Warriors were struggling overall, and Jordan Poole suited up for 26 minutes but had no good impact on the game as he was limited to only 7 points. And, out of frustration during the game, he rejected Draymond Green’s handshake and even ignored him and Stephen Curry on his way to the bench.

Jordan Poole disrespects Draymond Green and Stephen Curry

Draymond Green and Stephen Curry are the leaders of the team. They always have some great piece of advice for their guys. But Jordan Poole probably didn’t want any of that, as when Draymond Green was welcoming and dapping up everyone on their way to the bench, Poole rejected his handshake and shrugged away. Watching this, even Stephen Curry checked on Poole and told him not to do that. But even the greatest three-point shooter was ignored by the young guard.
Jordan Poole ignoring Draymond Green is quite understandable due to their history, but his treating Stephen Curry the same way is very unexpected. It’s understandable that he was having a bad game, but with that mentality and vibes in the locker room, no team can ever land a championship. So it’s very necessary for Poole to get certain things right, or the defending champions will end up getting an early exit from the postseason. Game 7, which is going to be the decider between Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings to advance to the semifinals and face the Lakers, is scheduled for Sunday, April 30.
