The NBA fandom has always been a strong admirer of Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek forward is one of the most dominating players in the world of basketball. However, as authoritative as his game is on the court, his humbling nature is just as heartwarming. The two-time NBA MVP is probably one of the most genuine and down-to-earth players the NBA has seen. His awareness of those who admire and look up to him and his gratitude toward his fans is truly visible in his actions.
Giannis, in his most recent reel on Instagram, was seen giving his shoes to a young fan. In what was supposed to be a merchandise signing session, a young admirer of his asked him for his pair of shoes. Giannis looked unfazed and unbothered when he heard their request. He then took off his shoes to sign them both and handed them over to the delighted little fan. The smile on his face was as beautiful and wholesome as it could get.
Athletes can be quite possessive about their apparel, especially about their sporting gear such as shoes for an example. While many NBA players are known to give away jerseys and worn-down shoes, Antetokounmpo seems to have given a perfectly fresh, if not brand new, pair of shoes. Acts like this definitely set him apart from quite a lot of players going around in the league.

Unsurprisingly, fans have reacted to the Bucks forward’s reel in praise as well as in sheer awe of the player. Fans and media have gotten accustomed to players with fame and popularity having a sense of arrogance in them.
