The feud started in the first half of the game as Antetokounmpo hit Schroder which seemed to have hurt the player’s ear. The guard was seen asking the referees to check for a flagrant foul, but the foul was not called. Later, in the third quarter, Antetokounmpo also had a hard fall as Schroder shoved him. However, things started escalating when the Brooklyn Nets star stood over Antetokounmpo as he was on the ground.

An audio was leaked of the conversation between the players. In the video, the reason behind Schroder standing over Antetokounmpo was revealed. After the player stood over Antetokounmpo, he was heard referring to the Bucks star’s foul on him. “You did the same thing right there, You did the same thing to me,” said Schroder. Without missing a second, Antetokounmpo stood up and got in Schroder’s face. And as the teammates and referees were separating the two, the Bucks’ star said, “You did that on purpose.”

A technical foul was called on Giannis Antetokounmpo for the exchange. However, that did not come in the way of the player’s performance. The former MVP ended up with 21 points, nine rebounds, and five assists to win the game. Dennis Schroder on the other hand could not do much, as he could score only five points in 34 minutes.
