The extra five minutes helped James create history. He added a few points and rebounds to his stat line and finished the game with 22 points and 20 rebounds. At 38, he became the oldest player to score 20 points and grab 20 rebounds in a playoff game, surpassing Wilt Chamberlain, who did it at age 36. James also became the first player since Shaquille O’Neal back in 2004 to score 20 points and grab 20 rebounds in a playoff game for the Lakers.
James and co. will now head to Memphis for Game 5 on Thursday with a 3-1 lead in the series. They have three chances to close the series but will be hoping to take care of business with the first opportunity they have.
