The former Golden State Warriors forward Matt Barnes is going viral for his unusual Instagram live. The star spotted an uninvited guest while he was visiting his old house. A creature invaded the former player’s house and was not ready to leave.

A possum entered Matt Barnes‘ kitchen and he documented the whole situation on his Instagram Live. In the now-viral video, the star was seen trying to get the intruder out by trying a few tricks. As the Live began, Barnes showed the viewers the position of the possum and the arrangement of boxes the 44-year-old made so that the creature could escape without causing trouble.

Barnes started by throwing fruits at the possum but the animal was unbothered. Then the star decided to scare the creature with a golf club but failed miserably. After battling with the possum for a while, Barnes got the idea that spraying water might help and it did. The creature finally moved from his place and tried to make a run. After some time, the possum got out of the house.

Barnes’ commentary throughout the nine minutes of the live had the viewers in splits. The star was fully conversing with the creature like it was a human. The viewers were having a blast as they witnessed the star battling with an animal. “I’ll fight anybody but I don’t fu*k with animals”, said Barnes. After the possum was out of the house, Barnes hilariously called out the viewers for laughing at him in the comments and ended the Live.

The former NBA player will no longer be a part of the Sacramento Kings‘ pregame and postgame shows, as revealed by a spokesperson of NBC Sports California. Matt Barnes was an analyst for the Kings for three seasons. The news was announced last month, in the middle of the regular season.

The move was made after Barnes yelled at the referees of a high school basketball game. The former athlete’s sons Carter and Isaiah were playing in the game. After Barnes argued a non-call with the referee, Carter was called for a technical foul. The call did not sit well with Barnes as he started arguing with the official which then interrupted the student announcer.

The video of the incident quickly went viral as netizens were upset with the former champion’s behavior. Barnes is quite famous for his aggressive behavior on the court in a basketball game. However, engaging in an altercation with a referee and announcer of a high school game while being on the sideline supporting his sons was not ideal for the star.
