“We want Bronny James!” Ohio State University makes NBA Twitter go insane with berserk chants with LeBron in attendance
LeBron James and Bronny James
On Saturday, LeBron James and his son Bronny James attended the Notre Dame vs. Ohio State college football game at Ohio Stadium. The Akron native and his son, who has one more year of high school before transferring to college basketball, were warmly welcomed by the home crowd.
Bronny, 17, has already received multiple D1 offers, but chants from Ohio State fans urging him to attend their university may be enough to persuade him.”We want Bronny,” chanted the home crowd. Bronny and LeBron were just two of the many famous athletes who attended the game, which Ohio State won 21-10.
Bronny James’s Basketball career
Bronny James, who will soon begin his senior year at Sierra Canyon, appears to have made tremendous strides in his game over the last few years. He’s grown athletically, is still developing as a shooter, and has long impressed with defence and passing. This month, James, a top-40 recruit in the 2023 class according to ESPN, is representing California Basketball Club on the AXE Euro Tour.
Most recently the younger James made headlines after dunking an out of the world basket that reminded spectators of a similar dunk made by his father years prior. The 17-year-old slammed a member of the U18 French Select squad with a thunderous right-handed jam and received applause from various NBA faces online for his feat.
It’s no secret that he’s one of the country’s top prospects. Ohio State is one of many D1 schools that Bronny James could potentially play for. It is still unknown whether this was his first official visit to the university. Bronny James would be doubly motivated to play for Ohio State because the university is located in the city where his father grew up. But, with offers from other major universities pouring in, it could be a difficult decision for him to make.
Lebron James’ dream of playing with his sons
LeBron James, on the other hand, has stated repeatedly that he would love to play alongside his son Bronny. According to the “One and Done Rule,” the high schooler will be eligible for the NBA draught in 2024.That would be the final year of James’ contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. He does, however, have a player option and could join a team that draughts Bronny.
His performances last year demonstrated that he has the ability to play competitive basketball for a few more years. If any team other than the Lakers drafted Bronny, they would have no trouble adding LeBron James to their roster. He also revealed plans to play with his younger son Bryce James in a recent interview.
Bryce is only in his sophomore year of college and has plenty of time before being drafted. However, as on the court, King James is always one step ahead of the rest. While his dream of playing with Bronny may come true, playing with Bryce appears highly unlikely. But if that is something LeBron James wants, he will give it his all to make it a reality.
