At one point, the game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks seemed to have been decided in the 3rd quarter. The Knicks fans sat in Madison Square Garden waiting for the final whistle for the Knicks to win. However, Bucks did have another plan coming up in the last 13 minutes. Knicks lost the game 111-107 which they lead by 16 points in the last minutes of the 3rd quarter. Despite Jalen Brunson’s 44 points game, New York couldn’t register a laid-out win.

With 20 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter, the Knicks were leading the game by 77-70. However, things quickly turned around for the Knicks as the Bucks started to shoot three-pointers to take lead in the game. In the last 15 minutes, the Bucks outscored the Knicks 31 to 51 points as they kept shooting the ball efficiently from beyond the arc.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment came for Brunson, who had to watch his 44-point game go to waste. The Knicks had an opportunity the take down one of the top teams in the league, but the 4th quarter downslide couldn’t be stopped. Brunson was very efficient in the field. He scored 15 of his 30 shots from the field and 4 of 10 from beyond the arc. Jalen was also perfect from the free-throw line. Brunson later said his score doesn’t matter to him after the loss. “It wasn’t enough. It doesn’t really matter to me,” said Brunson

The biggest disappointment and perhaps the reason for Knicks’ loss was the poor performance of the roster. Only 3 players from the Knicks’ roster scored in double-digits, as compared to the Bucks who had 7 players scoring in double-digits. Apart from Brunson’s 44, Julius Randle scored 25 points, and Immanuel Quickley had 23 points for the Knicks.

On the other hand, the Bucks had a complete team game. Giannis scored team-high 22 points, followed by Joe Ingles and Brook Lopez who scored 17 points each. Jrue Holiday also scored 15 points while the Bucks kept pushing for their lead in the game. They finally cut the massive deficit and beat the Knicks from behind.
