What are those marks on Dillon Brooks’ forehead? Is he the ‘angel’ Grizzlies need to get past 3-1 Lakers?
Fans believe Dillon Brooks is an angel due to the marks on his forehead.
Dillon Brooks
Dillon Brooks has been a complete mystery and it’s hard to understand a player like him. He’s refused to talk to the media after two losses. But again let’s not forget Dillon Brooks is the same guy who started the trash-talk and now isn’t even able to hoop at the expected level.
Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Memphis Grizzlies at Crypto.com Arena for the fourth game of the first-round series between them. Many expected the Grizzlies to tie the series at 2-2 but instead, they were handed an embarrassing loss and now the Lakers lead at 3-1. The blame for the loss goes to Dillon Brooks as he was clueless while LeBron James got the job done.
Dillon Brooks is already not riding with his new nickname and has called out the league for being portrayed as the villain. And, now we have another great theory to add to it. Some fans on Reddit believe him to be an angel. And, the reason behind this belief is the marks on his forehead which according to a Reddit post, look like the aftermath of a halo.
Brooks’ forehead is quite big and has some genuine visible marks on it. But him being an angel is still doubtful but that’s exactly what the post has conveyed. Because the halo refers to the ring-like object that appears on the head of angels.
Is Dillon Brooks the angel that can help Grizzlies advance against LeBron James, Lakers?
The marks on Dillon Brooks’ forehead can also be some type of acne scars or an injury that has left a mark. And, even if we ride with the theory of him being an angel, it doesn’t make any good sense. As of right now, Brooks isn’t a blessing for the Grizzlies but a curse that has awakened James by trash-talking and unnecessary call-outs.
During the fourth game of the first-round series between them, LeBron James dropped 22 points and got impressive 20 boards while dishing out seven assists (the oldest player with 20+ rebounds and 20+ points in a playoff game). On the other hand, Dillon Brooks was limited to only 11 points, four assists, and five rebounds. Also, he had no good impact on the defensive end as LeBron James hit the dagger on his head during overtime and got the dub at 117-111.
The LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers now only need one more dub to win the game. And, honestly, Dillon Brooks would be a real angel for the team if he makes a real impact during their next match-up. Because Ja Morant and Desmond Bane need him to step up big on the supporting cast. Or else the men in purple and yellow will quickly pull down the curtains on the Memphis Grizzlies.
