Anthony Edwards is undoubtedly one of the funniest stars in the league. Even though his comments have got him in some real trouble and controversies, the fans enjoy his comical personality. Anthony Edwards has recorded many hilarious interactions and responses with the media and fans. And, there are many other stories of his which just keep rolling out with time.
Tyrese Haliburton revealed one such during his appearance on Paul George’s podcast, “Podcast P with Paul George.” The Indiana Pacers guard was super excited to play with Anthony Edwards on the 2023 USA Basketball Men’s National Team. And, expectedly both of them now are showing out some classic actions while representing the USA in FIBA World Cup. After, showing respect for Ant-Man he went on to reveal one hilarious moment he had with him.
Tyrese Haliburton and Anthony Edwards were representing Team LeBron during last year’s All-Star Game. Team Giannis’ Donovan Mitchell and Damian Lillard were putting on a show drilling bucket from way downtown. And, the Timberwolves’ all-star guard had a very hilarious reaction to Damian Lillard’s godlike shot from behind the logo.
Tyrese revealing that quoted: “Exactly what you guys see on Twitter and social media all the time, that is him. Remember when Dame and Donovan kept shooting from half-court? Me and Ant sitting on the bench because we didn’t really play that much. We were just along for the ride at that point. Ant looked at me and he said, ‘He shot that b**** from Yucatan.’ I said, ‘Yucatan? What did you just say?’ He said, ‘Yucatan.’ I said, ‘Is that a real place?’ He’s like, ‘Nah. That’s how far that b**** was.’”
Yucatan though is a Mexican state for ancient Mayan Culture. But that reaction of Edwards is enough to throw anyone off. Even though he just wanted to appreciate Damian Lillard’s shooting skill, he did that in a very unique and hilarious manner which now has ended up in the headlines.
Anthony Edwards kept it very real with Michael Malone
Even Paul George revealed another funny interaction with Anthony Edwards from the same All-Star game. It happened during the very first play being drawn by coach Mike Malone. He wanted Ant-Man to throw a lob for LeBron James. But the Timberwolves guard refused to do so for a hilarious reason.
Paul George revealed it quoting: “He [Malone] was drawing up a play, and it was for Ant to throw a lob. Ant was like, ‘Nah coach… Imma keep it 100. That b**tch go over the backboard, I don’t throw lobs.’”
Edwards isn’t really the one who throws lobs but is the guy who catches them in mid-air and gifts unreal posters to the rival teams.
