Caitlin Clark has been a college basketball superstar for Iowa this season, and fans are waiting to see her in the WNBA. Clark will be eligible for the draft in 2024; however, she could choose to play another year as the pandemic caused them to miss an entire year (2020/21). Clark will enter the WNBA as one of the most hyped prospects while averaging 27 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists in over 99 games in college.
Caitlin Clark and Iowa made it to the Women’s NCAA Final but fell to the LSU Tigers. Clark scored 30 points in a valiant effort, but no other Hawkeye scored more than 15 points as they lost 85-102. Caitlin’s draft stock soared following this season’s appearance in the championship game due to some incredible performances by Clark throughout the season.
Clark is currently projected to be the #1 pick in the 2024 draft class despite having a year of college left to play. All this hype seems warranted as she became the first player ever to record a 40-point triple-double in the history of the NCAA tournament; this includes men’s college games as well. She also became the first-ever player with a 30-point triple-double in NCAA history while tearing up all the competition this season.
