Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma recently made a MASSIVE donation of $1 Million to a childhood YMCA in Flint, Michigan
The Kyle Kuzma Foundation will use the money from Kuzma's donation to build the gymnasium area.

The forward for the Washington Wizards, Kyle Kuzma recently gave the YMCA of Greater Flint in Michigan $1 million to help them build a new facility. To build a gym in downtown Flint that will be named after the NBA champion, money will be donated through the Kyle Kuzma Foundation. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to influencing “children, young adults, and families through sports, education, and vital life skills.”
“Growing up in Flint, the YMCA was very much my home away from home,” Kuzma said in a statement. “This donation is for the next generation and it’s my hope that this new facility can provide them with the same thing that it did for me, a place to dream.”
The latest in a long line of charity contributions Kuzma has made for his hometown is a gift to the Flint YMCA. Kyle Kuzma claims it all began when, as a young child, he had to take the bus early in the morning during the summer to go there. He would shoot hoops while his mother worked.
“Me being able to get to the Y early and play against the older guys at like 12 [noon] when they had their lunch break, and being able to stay until 5 to play with my guys, it helped shaped my life and who I am today,” he said.
Kyle Kuzma is not tradeable, according to Wizards.

Many are speculating about the Los Angeles Lakers‘ future roster plans after the Washington Wizards traded Rui Hachimura to them. All signs point to the fact that one of those plans is to keep Kyle Kuzma in Washington.
According to reports, the Wizards have informed interested clubs that Kyle Kuzma is not available for trade talks. This includes the Atlanta Hawks and Phoenix Suns, who have recently engaged in a number of trade discussions with Washington.
Beyond this season, Kyle Kuzma hasn’t made any commitments regarding his future. Kuzma has a $13 million player option for the next season, which he will undoubtedly reject. Given that he wouldn’t receive a salary close to his market value under such an agreement.
However, it is important to remember that nothing is currently assured and that Kyle Kuzma is still in control of the situation. He has the option of evaluating his marketability on the free agent market. He appears to be pleased right now in Washington, however, you just never know.
