Kevin Durant, who is an active Twitter user, spotted a Tweet that echoed his sentiments regarding NBA fan culture. “It’s hilarious that y’all hate on Jokic to hype up Embiid, then in the playoffs you hate on both for eventually losing. So just say it how it is. Y’all love building players up to tear them down. It helps you get over the fact that you’re losers,” tweeted @Grinch21188235. This fan points out how hypocritical NBA fans are as they wait for stars to fail even while they praise them.
“Damn, the truth is gettin’ some shine today; I like it,” replied KD to that tweet. Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid have been in the MVP conversation for the last two years, and how fans treat them is becoming very apparent. KD feels this is the truth amongst NBA fans as he has faced similar instances while on the Golden State Warriors. Fans loved KD on the Oklahoma City Thunder, but they turned on him as soon as his career choices changed.
