Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been dominating the league for several years now and there is still no way to stop him. The Greek Freak is a 2x MVP, Finals MVP, and NBA champion and arguably the best player in the world. When asked about a 1-on-1 contest he said, “1-on-1? Come on, man. You got to build a wall, man. Got to build a wall to stop me“. The 7-footer is not wrong either as he has shown he can destroy anyone in the paint and the post. Giannis has jumped over another player in-game while dunking so 1-on-1 is nothing for him.
Giannis Antetokounmpo claims that other Eastern conference teams have already been using a wall against him for years. “They created the Giannis wall, Boston does it now, Chicago tried to do it, Miami did it… There’s no 1-on-1 in my world,” said Giannis. Giannis is referring to the recent playoff series with this statement. Chicago tried it but lost to the Bucks by 5 in the 2022 playoffs. Miami did it in 2020 and eliminated the Bucks from the playoffs. Boston did it last year to eliminate the Bucks and continues to do it.
Giannis however could not feature much in this year’s All-Star game due to his wrist injury. The Greek Freak picked up an injury in a game against the Bulls right before the All-star break. He started the all-star game but dunked the ball on the first play and then checked out. Giannis is focused on the playoffs right now and could care less about an All-star game appearance. He was glad that his team finally beat LeBron but he would much prefer staying healthy for the playoffs.
Giannis Antetokounmpo will look to take the Bucks to promise land yet again

After winning the 2021 NBA championship Giannis was on top of the world. However, the Bucks were not even able to make the conference finals the following year as the 2022 runners-up Boston Celtics beat them in 7 games. However, the Bucks were without the Robin to Giannis’ Batman in Khris Middleton. Middleton came up incredibly clutch in the 2021 playoffs and was sorely missed last season. Middleton has missed a sizeable portion of this season to injury as well. The Bucks are 14-3 with Middleton and 27-14 without him this season.
However, this year it looks like Milwaukee will have a full-strength team for the playoffs. Jrue Holiday has stepped up in the absence of Middleton and was selected to be an All-Star this year. The Bucks know that the one team they have to look out for in the East is Boston. They have played each other in multiple playoff series and know each other quite well.
The Eastern conference is just the first wall for Giannis to break in terms of winning a championship. The West has added Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on their side which adds to the possible finals opponents if Milwaukee does make it all the way. Regardless of whether they make the finals or not, Giannis will continue to dominate every series he plays.
