“No ways! LeBron James and Anthony Davis can win a championship” Shannon Sharpe disregards all claims of Brow and Bron leading Lakers to another title 

When Anthony Davis and LeBron James joined forces in the 2020 season, many expected the modern-day NBA to be haunted by the scoring prowess of these two superstars. On one hand, where the King is deemed as ‘once in a lifetime athlete,’ AD seemed to be one of the most efficient players on either end of the court. However, since their 2020 triumph with the Lakers in the Covid affected season, the purple and gold army have majorly struggled. 

Shannon Sharpe and co-host Skip Bayless absolutely buried all claims of Anthony Davis and LeBron James leading the Los Angeles Lakers to another championship. With the fan base finally given a sigh of relief, with the sufferings of 2021-22 season coming to an end, the Lakers have ample amount of time to focus upon re-building their team. On the same note Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless had an interesting take. 

Is the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis done and dusted? 

To those who are not aware, Shannon Sharpe is one of the biggest LeBron James supporters out there and has been supporting the Lakers ever since the King got there. Even when Skip Bayless was dissing on the Fakers all season long, Shannon was defending them, well, at least till the All-Star break. However, after hearing what Anthony Davis had to say, Shannon decided to express what was on his mind, quite bluntly. 

“I can’t trust that AD can make it through a season. With Anthony Davis being injury-prone and LeBron heading into Year 20, I can’t trust they’ll play enough games together to be in contention.” 

Not to frown upon what Sharpe pointed out, he is not entirely wrong. In the past two seasons, Anthony Davis has not even played 50% of the games for the Los Angeles Lakers. He has only suited up in 76 out of 160 games, which is roughly 47.5% of the games. In the games he played, AD was averaging 21.8 points last season, and 23.2 points this season. 

That being said, LeBron was one of the leading contenders for most points scored. Having being eliminated, Joel Embiid took the honors, with Lebron on the side-lines. Now, with a depleted King looking to make his way into the 20^th season, it’ll be interesting to see how many critics than this duo shut up, in basically every sense.
