Golden State Warriors leader and former MVP Stephen Curry showed his funny side as he evidently considered his side underdogs in the upcoming Playoffs. Ahead of the first round playoff series, Chef Curry addressed the media before the showdown began.
The Dubs had a roller coaster ride in the regular season. They were the top team in the West for certain initial weeks, but some bad patch and injuries to their star players halted their run of dominance. They ended up 3rd in the Western Conference after winning the last 5 games in a row. Stephen Curry addressed the media as he shed some light on preparations for the postseason matches.
Steph was optimistic about the postseason games and considered his team as dark horses from the Western Conference. He showed no sign of pressure for the postseason as he was witty as ever in front of the press.

3-time NBA Champion Stephen Curry had a very positive attitude in the conference. He said, “Nobody is picking us to win, come out of the West, except our families. Which is fine, I mean we gotta win 4 games, and in order to do that, we have a certain game plan, we will try to execute on Saturday.”
Warriors will play Denver Nuggets on Saturday late at night at chase center. Steph emphasized the importance of winning home games and starting the series with a win. HE further added that every game in the postseason has its value and circumstances, that’s what makes the playoffs interesting for the fans.
Coach Steve Kerr will be pleased with the team’s performance going into the playoffs. As stated above, Warriors won their last 5 games without their top scorer. One half of the Splash Brothers – Klay Thompson found some rhythm in scoring at a very important period of time. With no major injury concern, the Warriors should have full strength available for playoffs.
Strong Competition in the Western Conference for Steph and the Warriors
Golden State Warriors enjoyed their ”domination period” in WC in their Championship-winning seasons. They were 5 time Conference champions from 2015 to 2019. They went on to win the Finals on 3 occasions. But major injury to marquee Klay Thomson cost the team latter seasons.
The team made certain adjustments in their roaster. As a result oh which, the young player delivering on the floor, have enabled to challenge for the Trophy this season again. But Warriors must vary some of the difficult matchups on their way to the finals. Teams like the high-flying Phoenix Suns (season series 2-2), young and talented Memphis (Season Series 3-1 to Grizzlies), and ever-consistent Utah Jazz (season series 3-1 to Warriors) are tough challenges in the West.
