“Not destined for the Dunk Contest” NBA Fans massively troll Jalen Green after another failed dunk attempt vs Timberwolves
Jalen Green in action against the Minnesota Timberwolves
In the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jalen Green missed dunks which reminded the crowd of the most embarrassing dunk contest in the history of the league.
Houston Rockets rookie guard Jalen Green was called as a participant for the dunk contest during this year’s all-star week, but he failed to impress the NBA universe through his bounce. He was highly criticized online when his demise came at the hands of missing dunk attempts, where he made his 1st dunk after failing almost 10 times.
Meanwhile, it seems that he has continued the same performance in the regular season where he was seen missing the dunks multiple times in the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The first time Green failed in the game was at fastbreak when his teammate Christopher couldn’t put a layup well at the same time Green tried to dunk that rebounded ball but failed.
The second time when the rookie failed, we can’t particularly blame him because he was fouled by D’Angelo Russell and the ball got bounced out of his hand. There is no doubt that the Rockets rookie has a lot of dunking talent but sometimes he fails to deliver the things moreover he has promised during this year’s all-star week to make a comeback for the dunk contest next year
“I for sure need a run-back because I messed up,” Green said. “I need to run that back next year. We’ll figure it out. … I need next year. I’ll be here next year.”

Jalen Green make history after breaking a 25-year-old Allen Iverson record of four consecutive 30s in rookie year
Coming back to the game, although Green was failing to put some dunks, it was not enough to stop him from making history where the 20-year-old broke the record of Allen Iverson to score at least 30 points in four consecutive games in his rookie year. The Rockets rookie showed an extraordinary performance of 31 points with 5 assists.
Moreover, a combined effort of 61 points by Houston’s Rookie duo- Green and Christopher didn’t help the Rockets as they lost the game by 139-132 on Sunday night. The Rockets might have a bad season this year but promising players are still there on their side, therefore, they have the chance to make a great season next year.
