Julius Randle gets into a scuffle with Desmond Bane
Julius Randle seemingly has been in a bad mood throughout the season. Over the season, he has been involved in scuffles with fans, and other players while having a bad season on the court. This time the 2021 Most Improved Player got into a scuffle with a 2022 Most Improved Player contender Desmond Bane of the Memphis Grizzlies.
The New York Knicks lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 108-120 at home on Wednesday night. It was the 28th loss for the Grizzlies this season and is now 24-28, the 4th worst record in the Eastern Conference. Memphis Grizzlies on the other hand are the 3rd best team in the entire league with a 36-18 season record.

Evan Fournier top-scored for the Knicks with 30 points, going 8-12 from the three-point range. RJ Barrett added 23 points in 39 minutes with an inefficient 7-17 from the field. Julius Randle, however, had a welcome good game this season with almost a triple-double, having 18 points, nine assists, and 12 rebounds in the game. Although he remained inefficient in the game scoring going just 7-18 from the field.
Memphis Grizzlies proved in this game that they are much more than just All-Star Ja Morant. Morant, who scored 23, missed 18 of his 27 shots and was not having a good night on that front. Jaren Jackson Jr. scored a team-high of 26 points, with contributions of 21 from Zaire Williams and 13 from Desmond Bane.

Julius Randle and Desmond Bane go at it
During a timeout, things got a bit chippy between Julius Randle and Desmond Bane. In the timeout, Randle was seen encroaching the Memphis Grizzlies space to have a word with Desmond Bane. Bane initially shoved Randle after which Randle lost it and gave a stare to Bane. The two men then started exchanging words as Randle’s Knicks teammates also came around to separate Randle.
The referees tried to moderate the heated scuffle and it settled down without much drama. Twitter fans were not letting Julius Randle off the hook on this one as they had some really harsh comments for him:
However, some fans on Twitter tried to defend Randle and instead went on to attack Desmond Bane:
