The 76ers lost the second game back to back, 114-119 against the Toronto Raptors who have been surprising over the last few months. The Raptors lacked two of their starters in Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby but still managed to steal a victory against the Sixers who had their top players in rotation. Both teams fared well from the field with the Sixers putting up 49.3%, shooting 52.8% from three with 19 made threes and 84% from the line.

Pascal Siakam and Gary Trent Jr. scored a combined 67 points as the Cameroonian finished with a triple-double as well. Joel Embiid continued to dominate with 30 points and 10 rebounds by the end of the game shooting his chances at a bonus scoring title along with the best odds at winning the MVP award. However, James Harden yet again did not play well finishing with 13 points, 15 assists, and 4 rebounds on 3 of 12 from the field.

James Harden initially joined the Sixers to make a run for the title this season especially since he felt that his career is in its final days. But will he be the reason why the Sixers do not make a finals appearance? Chris Broussard spoke on what Harden’s decline means to Philadelphia and called his contract pointless. “Daryl Morey is going to have a tough decision to make. If this season ends like we all think it will… do you wanna give James Harden $200 million, plus.”

“I think Harden is on the decline,” said Broussard after being given options by his fellow panelist that pointed out Harden’s disinterest in the players or coaching staff. “This is his fourteenth year, that’s a career! Everybody does not age like LeBron James. Harden has not had the workout regiment that LeBron James has had.”
