The pair got together in May of 2021 and it only lasted for about six months before Ben Simmons had carried with the decision to pop the question. According to the source, ”Ben adores Maya and has fallen head over heels for her. He picked up the ring on Jeweler’ Row in the diamond district of Philadelphia the day before he proposed.”
The source further stated that the NBA star chose the ring without any help as he was confident that he knew what she would want. Ben was also nervous about the proposal since Maya had rejected a proposal in the past.
Maya flew in to spend time with her new fiancée and is still with him at the moment, the source claims. Both individuals planned on keeping the news away from the public until the new year. However, a now deleted Instagram post by tattoo artist Philly Joe almost revealed the news with a picture of the couple’s matching tattoos captioned, ”Honored and humbled to have gotten this opportunity to tattoo my boy @bensimmons and his fiancée.”

With this great news, Maya Jama who is a British television host, is ready to pack her bags to be with her future husband in the US and not in New Jersey. There is a high chance that Simmons could be making a move to Los Angeles as he purchased a fifteen million dollar mansion there.
His future is quiet uncertain with his current situation as he has not played with the team since the beginning of the 2021-22 season. The all-star had claimed that he is not “mentally ready” to play with the team just yet. A move to the Lakers team is a strong possibility after the team recently let go of veteran point guard Rajon Rondo creating more cap space to sign another player.
