Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards has been one of the best additions in the modern-day NBA. Having missed out on being named Rookie of the Year last season, the Timberwolves marquee scorer is not shying away to frame his own identity on and off the court. Being one of the strongest scorers in the paint, Edwards is busy in stating his defensive identity as well.
Moreover, when the 2022 All Star starters and reserves were named, fans were somehow shocked to see none of the younger generation players being included. To those who are not aware, the Timberwolves are currently one place behind the Denver Nuggets, into making it in the playoff berths of the Western Conference. And the large share of credit goes to Anthony Edwards and Karl Anthony Towns.

What was opinionated by Anthony Edwards?
“It’s the same as the Rookie of the Year, man. I don’t never expect to be selected, because it never happens. I was surprised I was selected for the Rising Stars game, if I’m being honest.”
Being surprised for being selected to the Rising Stars game shouldn’t come as a surprise for Ant and the Timberwolves. The former first overall pick has been excellent this season: 22.1 points per game on 44/36/81 shooting splits, along 5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. He is easily one of the best young prospects in the NBA today.
Thankfully, at least one player from the Minnesota Timberwolves was selected in the 2022 All-Star Game, which was Karl Anthony Davis. The entire team was seen being happy for him to say the least. Apart from which, Edwards will be seen in action in another format.
That being said, will the Minnesota Timberwolves be able to clinch a playoff berth in the 2021-22 season? Remains to be seen. But it if indeed safe to say that their young marquee scorer, Anthony Edwards gives no concern at all for not being selected in the 2022 All-Star line up.
