The Minnesota Timberwolves were a better ranked team when they locked horns against the Los Angeles Clippers in the play-in contest. With Karl Anthony Towns being fouled out early in the game, the Timberwolves managed to keep their shape in outscoring their opposition 30-21 in the fourth quarter to win by 5 points. 

After which Patrick Beverley led Timberwolves managed to perhaps celebrate way too eagerly as they finally broke the jinx for the franchise by reaching the playoffs. Moreover, with Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley keeping a close eye on the contest, the hilarious NBA on TNT duo went onto clown the winning team.

Now to those who are not aware, Patrick Beverley removed his uniform, ran onto the court and expressed his joy in the moment, drawing the ire of some, who criticized him for what they viewed as excessive celebrating. Inside the NBA analysts Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley, among others in the NBA community, clowned the Timberwolves for their celebration following Tuesday’s win.

Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley didn’t hold back, serenading the Timberwolves with a rendition of Queen’s “We Are The Champions.” Even Ernie Johnson chipped in, saying that was the shortest playoffs the network has ever covered. NBA players also joined the chorus of voices clowning Beverley and the Timberwolves.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will now be locking horns against the mighty Memphis Grizzlies led by Ja Morant. Being one of those team who have already got the better off Grizzlies in the regular season, all eyes will be on Karl Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards. Will we see the favorites progress through the next round? Or will Timberwolves answer their critics by bringing down one of the best teams in the 2021-22 season.
