It is all smiles for the Los Angeles Laker, LeBron James, who is having one of his best individual seasons. Despite a lackluster year for the team, LeBron has made sure to play his game in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. He has been averaging 36.2 points per game since the beginning of March putting up 10.2 rebounds and 6 assists as well. And to be as explosive as he is at the age of 37, no words could match his level of greatness.
Throughout the season, LeBron James struggled with injuries since the start but still manages to averages 29.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game on 52.2% shooting from the field. The last time LeBron averaged numbers something nearly as close was in 2009 when he won his MVP award. As far as this year, LeBron is not anywhere near the top contenders for the award due to team issues and injuries he suffered. But there is no denying how good of a player he is.

The 19th year veteran is continuing to redefine the way players his age play. He is arguably one of the best scorers of all time as he sits at the third spot on the all-time list with 36,793 points during the regular season. He stands just 135 points short of taking over second place occupied by Utah Jazz legend Karl Malone. Many of us underestimated what effect age would have on the King’s skills and he made sure to prove just that.
In a win 122-109 blowout win by the Los Angeles Lakers against the Washington Wizards, LeBron led the team with another 50 point piece shooting 18 for 25 from the field, 6 of 9 from three, and 8 of 8 free throws. “The Laker faithful know when bad basketball is being played and they know when good basketball is being played, They have the right to have any response they want. I like I just try to give them an opportunity to have memorable nights as well, something to cheer for, give them something to feel good about on a nightly basis.” The King recorded his 15th career 50-point game tied for 6th all-time behind with Rick Barry.

Growing up, LeBron only had his mother raising him as a single parent. His father did not want part of his upbringing. Gloria James was one of the biggest reasons why the King got into the sport after allowing him to stay with his school coach. We have seen her attend many games so show her support for the Kid from Akron, at times, literally. Between the game, the two were spotted hugging each other after LeBron’s outstanding performance.
On being asked about his relationship with his mother, LeBron said, “She’s my biggest supporter, my biggest inspiration, and my biggest love. To have her be able to witness my career, all the sacrifices that she did for me growing up. For me to be at this point in my life, for her to be able to see it, I just always try to get back to her any way, shape, form, and fashion.”
