Devin Booker led the Phoenix Suns to their 9th straight win on Sunday night. The Suns beat the San Antonio Spurs 115-110 at home for their 40th win of the season. The Suns by far have the best record in the NBA of 40-9, with a win percentage of 81.9%. They are 3.5 games ahead of the next best team, the Golden State Warriors. The Spurs are now at the 11th spot in the Western Conference with a 19-31 season record.

For the Suns, Devin Booker scored the tea,-high 28 points, going 12-24 from the field and 4-9 from the three-point territory. Chris Paul had another great game with 20 points and 19 assists. Mikal Bridges was a big help to the Suns as he posted 26 points for the night while Cameron Johnson added 11 points.

The Spurs were without their star point guard Dejounte Murray. Tre Jones instead started the game for the spurs as their PG. He had an impressive 15 points and 9 assists in the game. Keldon Johnson had 15 points and Doug McDermott had team-high 24 points for the Spurs. Lonnie Walker IV was also handy as he contributed with 22 points off the bench. Even without their star player, the Spurs had a good game as they almost beat the best team in the league, Phoenix Suns.

Devin Booker with two Clutch Three-pointers

During the game in the clutch moment, with 1:56 remaining in the game, the Suns were trailing 106-108. Devin Booker then came off the screen and hit a clutch three to give the Suns a one-point lead. Then with 1:20 to go in the game on the next possession, Booker went for the iso. He faked the penetration and instead, he stepped back for another pump-fake to send the defender flying. Devin Booker then nailed another heroic three.
This took the Suns’ lead to four points now. The Suns were then leading 112-108. Mikal Bridges then made scored the next two points for the Suns and the Spurs could only take their tally to 110 and it ended in a loss for them.
