Ja Morant

Ja Morant is not much of a trash talker but when he is pumped up, he can give you a death stare with you even if you are a little kid. This is exactly what happened Tuesday night in Memphis when the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Golden State Warriors.

During the last minute of the regulation, it was still anybody’s game. Grizzlies were leading the Warriors 113-108 with under a minute to go. Ja Morant made a driving layup for the dagger, drawing a foul to get a chance at the three-point play. Morant made the free throw to take the Grizzlies ahead by eight, 116-108.

When Morant made the tough And-1 layup, his momentum forced him to go into the crowd. Morant was fired up after the layup and foul call in his favor as he tried to hype up the fans. In the process, Morant saw a little kid who was wearing a Stephen Curry jersey but clearly a Morant and Memphis fan as well. Not only Morant did not high-five him back, but he also gave the kid a cold stare and walked out of the stand.

However, Morant later realized the plight of the kid, he apologized and asked for info on that kid so he could gift him a jersey. Morant said – “He was disrespectful with that jersey on. We [were] in Memphis. It looked like he wanted to cheer but he had that jersey on. I apologized to him but in that moment, bro, take that jersey off and then dap me up…Somebody, find his information, I wanna send him one [jersey] myself.” Morant also apologized to the kid on Twitter.
