Joel Embiid, Damian Lillard, Trae Young and other NBA stars react to Jayhawks pulling off the largest comeback in championship history
Kansas Jayhawks lift the NCAA Championship
Kansas Jayhawks won it all, they won the NCAA Basketball Championship and definitely won the hearts of all the players in the league. Joel Embiid, Damian Lillard, Trae Young and many more players from the league were at the front to praise the Kansas team for their massive comeback as the team shook up the world by pulling an upset, defeating the championship favorites. The NBA World was taken aback by the shoe put up by both the teams Kansas Jayhawks and North Carolina Tar Heels where at the end the Jayhawks came on top, but the contest was such that it won’t be forgotten in a really long time.
Kansas Jayhawks pulled a massive upset with a brilliant comeback, defeated the Tar Heels by a close 3-point margin. Kansas who were behind with a 15-point gap at the end of the first half managed to turn the tides around and get the dub. The Jayhawks’ coach Bill Self, who had the record of not being defeated by the UNC in the NCAA Tournament maintained the record after this game as well, as the Kansas Jayhawks got their hands at the 4th NCAA Championship.
With just a little more than 9 minutes into the 2nd half, Jayhawks converted the 15-point deficit to a 50-50 point clash. The 2nd half was the tale of UNC’s downfall, which was seen by the entire world in the form of their loss.
Let us not judge the UNC much for blowing out a 15 point lead and then losing the match, rather, let us take a closer look at the game Jayhawks put up, coming back from the trenches to sitting at the championship throne and creating one of the best comeback stories in the NCAA Championship.
