Stephen A was invited to the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he made some of the most scandalous comments on the Lakers and their star studded squad, which are a bunch of people he is always after.

The comparison between New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers is something no one ever expect, which is known because of obvious reasons, but Jimmy Fallon found the perfect and the most hilarious way to take out the most controversial opinions from Stephen A Smith’s mouth in reaction to the same topic. Stephen A Smith was invited as the guest on the tonight show which is a talk show hosted by Jimmy Fallon. The show involves a multitude of segments which vary from games to singing to acting etc. In one of these very segments, there came a segment of Opinion Generator, which is where Smith found himself in trouble, but after testing the waters went deep in, to give some of the most controversial yet hilarious takes on LA Lakers and the NY Knicks.

The Opinion generator gave a topic of choosing between Knicks or Lakers. Smith being the Die Hard Knicks fan, or rather Lakers hater initially found it tough yet hilarious to give an opinion on that, eventually thought that he should answer those questions. Stephen A started off by giving such an interesting introduction that was bound to make people understand that what he was going to say would be atrocious. He said, “Believe it or not… the Lakers are worse”.

He then went on to give the reason for his take in which he started off by saying that no one was surprised at the state the Knicks were in right now, and that was because no one expects the Knicks to go any higher than the first round in the Playoffs or the beginning of the second round maximum.

After making a subtle diss on the Knicks, Smith efficiently shifted his attention to the Lakers which was a more direct and stronger diss. He pointed out that the Lakers had LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis, despite of which they weren’t even able to make it to the play-ins, which in itself is disrespectful. He then pointed out that the team had also destroyed the legacies of Shaq, Magic, Kareem and Kobe by being in the state that they are in right now.

He eventually ended by saying that the Knicks did deserve the credits for the comparison between them and the Lakers. It will be interesting to see how others assess this situation between both the teams, but by looking at the reactions people have had to this, you can agree that he has some correct points.
